Anyways hi, welcome to my corner of the internet. My name is Michael and I am a software enginneer.

My interests are in Backend Engineering and ML. Recently I have been exploring the application of these to healthcare, bioinformatics and biology in general. I truly believe there are fascinating possibilities of ML in advancing the biological sciences.

I have also been mentally preoccupied with understanding how and why things work. So I have a couple of notes, opened chrome tabs and uncompleted clones of my favorite softwares that I hope share once I get myself to completing these projects.

This period has also given me a lot of time to think, reflect and picture what kind of engineer I want to be.

One quote that has stuck with me this period is:

“start everything again”.

While learning the latest tool or technology is important to stay updated or “relevant” as some fear mongering people would have you believe.

“Having a solid understanding of the fundamentals is what carries you through your career”.

I have heard this a lot from many amazing engineers I adore.

So yes, I have decided to start everything again, but this time with intent.

I hope to carry you all along and share all the cool things I learn.
